Taimur Relieved from BNP Chairperson's Advisory Post

Independent candidate for the post of mayor in the Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) election, Advocate Taimur Alam Khandaker has been relieved from the post of advisor to the BNP chairperson.

The information was given in a circular signed by BNP senior joint secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Sunday (January 2).

The statement said, "It has been reported that you (Taimur) have been removed from the post of member of the chairperson's advisory council."

Advocate Taimur Alam Khandaker told the media that the party did not inform me about this. But I think if it is true Alhamdulillah. Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has taken a timely decision. He set me free for the people.

On December 26, Advocate Taimur Alam Khandaker was removed from the post of convener of Narayanganj district BNP and joint convener Monirul Islam Robi was made acting convener.
