A massive fire broke out at a garments factory in the Bayezid Bostami area of Chattogram port city on Tuesday morning, reports UNB.
The fire started around 7:45 am at Anwara Garments factory, fire officials said.
"Some 11 fire tenders were pressed into service but it took them over two hours to contain the blaze around 10.30am," said Anisur Rahman, deputy director of Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported. However, authorities are yet to ascertain the extent of damages.
"A probe has been ordered to find out the exact cause of the fire," said the official.
