BUET Suspends In-Person Classes

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has suspended in-person classes due to the rise in Covid-19 infections.

According to a press statement issued today by BUET Registrar Prof Dr Md Forkan Uddin, online sessions will resume on January 15 and will continue till further notice.

However, no decision has been made yet over the closure of residential halls.

Sessions, class tests, and laboratory classes for all terms ending in July 2021 will be held online until further notice, according to the decision.

Jahangirnagar University had previously decided to discontinue in-person classes on January 5.
