The High Court's Appellate Division and judiciary functions may run virtually again, said Chief Justice Hasan Fayez Siddiqui on Tuesday, reports media.
“Thirteen High Court judges along with 36 lower court judges and many other staff have also been affected with Covid. We might go back to the virtual court again,” he said.
The High Court has been operating all the functions virtually on a limited scale since May 11, 2020.
However, after the situation improved, the Supreme Court administration decided to conduct the judicial proceedings of both the divisions of the Supreme Court (Appellate and High Court) in physical presence from December 1, 2021.
