Journalist Habibur Rahman Killed in Dhaka Road Crash

Daily Shomoyer Alo senior reporter Habibur Rahman was killed in a motorcycle accident in city's Hatirjheel area early Wednesday, reports media.

Habibur Rahman was also the former organizing secretary of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU).

A motorcycle carrying the reporter hit hard a footpath at Begunbari area around 2:30am, leaving him critically injured, said Hatirjheel Police Station SI Enamul Haque.

Later, a pedestrian took Habibur Rahman to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the on-duty physicians declared him dead.

He left behind wife and a son. He hailed from Cumilla.
