Fire Breaks Out at BSMMU

A fire broke out inside a building of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in Dhaka on Monday evening.

Five firefighter units rushed to the scene after hearing the news, according to Shajahan Sikder, senior station officer at fire service headquarters.

According to the fire department official, the fire started on the 13th level of the 17-story building at BSMMU at 6:15 p.m.

The cause of the fire could not be determined right away, but patients were safely relocated, he said.
