Bangladesh’s Per Capita Income Increases to $2,591

Bangladesh’s per capita income has increased to $2,591 in FY2020-21, according to the final estimation of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).

Planning Minister MA Mannan disclosed the information during a press conference after the meeting of Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) held at NEC conference room in Dhaka on Tuesday, reports media.

As per the final estimation, the total gross domestic product (GDP) for FY2020-21 has been calculated $416 billion while the GDP growth was estimated 6.94 per cent, said the minister.

The GDP size was $411 billion, the GDP growth was 5.43 per cent and the per capita income was $2,554 for FY2020-21 as per the provisional estimation of BBS.

According to the BBS, the GDP and per capita income has been estimated as per base year 2015-16.
