Ten Crore Vaccines in Stock: Health Min

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said, "We have so far been able to give about 170 million doses of vaccine in the country." Our target population for vaccination is 115.5 million, of which we have been able to bring about 85% of them under vaccination. We still have ten crore vaccines in stock.

He made the remarks while inaugurating an oxygen plant at Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in the capital on Monday (February 14).

"In African countries, where only 12 percent of the population has been vaccinated, 75 percent of our target population has been vaccinated," he said.

He said several people had not yet been vaccinated. There is reluctance among them. I urge those who have not yet been vaccinated to get vaccinated quickly.
