Fire Breaks Out at Garment Factory in Savar’s Old Dhaka EPZ

A fire broke out at a garment factory inside the old Dhaka Export Processing Zone in Savar this evening.

The fire broke out at the tin-shed building of Paxar Bangladesh Ltd around 6:50pm, said Ershad Hossain, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.

On information, seven firefighting units from Savar, Ashulia, Dhaka EPZ, Dhamrai and Uttara rushed to the spot and were working to douse the blaze, the fireman told the media.

However, the reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
