Jahangirnagar University's admission test for the 2021-22 session will be held in five units this year instead of ten units.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Nurul Alam said
this while meeting the leaders of Jahangirnagar University Press Club on
Thursday (April 21).
At the time, the vice-chancellor said, "Last
Wednesday's meeting of the Central Admission Examination Steering Committee
decided to take the admission test in five units."
He said the decision was taken keeping in mind the
plight of the students.
He further said, “This time the Faculty of
Mathematics and Physics and the Institute of Information Technology (IIT) have
merged 'A Unit', Faculty of Sociology and Faculty of Law have merged 'B Unit',
Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Department of Drama and Drama, Department of
Fine Arts and Bangabandhu and comparative literature culture institute 'C
unit', business education faculty and institute of business administration
(IBA) together 'E unit' and biology faculty 'D unit' as before - these five
units will have this year's admission test.
It is to be noted that the date of registration for
this year's admission test has been finalized from 18th May to 16th June and
the date of admission test has been finalized from 31st July to 11th August by
the University Admission Management Committee.
