Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has lowered the price ceiling of liquefied petroleum gas or LPG by Tk 104 per 12 kg cylinder.
It means a consumer has to pay Tk1,335 to buy a 12kg LPG container instead of Tk1,439.
The new price ceiling, inclusive of value-added tax and changes in exchange rates, will be effective from this evening.
In a press release, Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission confirmed the matter on Thursday (May 5).
BERC adjusts the country’s LPG prices taking Saudi Aramco’s cargo price (CP) as the base price.
