3 Labourers Killed in C'nawabganj Road Mishap

Three paddy workers were killed and seven others injured as their paddy-laden truck turned turtle in Jamtala Pawel area on the Amnura-Nayagola road in Sadar upazila on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Bulbul, 30, son of Elias Hossain of Kalinagar Dukhurmore area, Asadul, 26, son of Nawshad Ali of Saterorashia village under Sadar upazila and Montu, 45, son of late Monsur Ali of Bahalabari under Ranihati union of Shibganj upazila

Bulbul died on the spot, Montu on the way to the Chapainawabganj Sadar hospital and Asadul on the way to the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, officer in charge (OC) of Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station Mozaffar Hossain said.

Of the injured persons, Saidur Rahman, 32, son of late Meser Ali was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital and six others were admitted to the Chapainawabganj Sadar hospital.

The paddy-laden truck turned turtle after the driver lost control of the vehicle in the area, the OC said.
