After Dinesh Chandimal and Niroshan Dickwella held their own on the final day of the contest at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today, the first Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka ended in an expected draw.

Sri Lanka finished their second innings at 260 for six thanks to Chandimal and Dickwella's tenacious stand, bowling out the requisite number of overs before both teams agreed to call the game a draw an hour early.

After the tourists were reduced to 161 for six after lunch, Chandimal and Dickwella put on an unbeaten 99-run stand for the seventh wicket to keep Sri Lanka in the game.
