Bangladesh suffered a batting setback early in the second Test against Sri Lanka at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Monday. Hosts Bangladesh lost five wickets in the first seven overs of Sri Lankan bowling.

Muminul's team lost five wickets and scored 45 runs till the writing of this report. Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das are in the crease.

Sri Lanka's Kasun Rajitha took three wickets and Asitha Fernando two.

Right-arm opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy, who scored a half-century in the first match in Chattogram, was dismissed for zero in the first over off Kasun Rajithar. In the next over, Tamim Iqbal also fell victim to Asitha Fernando and returned with zero runs. Then Shakib Al Hasan also went back with the first ball.

Captain Muminul Haque and Nazmul Hossain Shant scored 9 and 8 runs respectively.

Earlier, the first Test of the series was drawn in Chattogram. Sri Lanka's Angelo Mathews was declared the man of the match for 199 runs. Besides, Bangladesh's Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim have scored centuries in that Test.
