44th BCS Preliminary Exam Held

The preliminary test for the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS)-2021 was held on Friday.

The examination was held simultaneously in the centers of eight divisional cities- Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Barisal, Khulna, Sylhet, Mymensingh, and Rangpur— from 10 am to 12noon, reports media.

A total of 350,716 candidates applied for the test, BPSC sources said.

Earlier, the BPSC published a circular for the 44th BCS on November 30, 2021 for recruiting 1,710 civil servants in different cadre services.

Among these, 250 are in administration cadre, 50 in police cadre, 10 in the foreign cadre, 14 in Ansar cadre, 30 in audit and account, 11 in tax, 8 in co-operative, 7 in railway transport and commerce, 10 in information, 23 in postal, 6 in trade, 27 in family planning, 3 in food, 485 in the technical cadre and 776 in higher education cadre.
