The
wait is finally over as the makers of Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Aamir Khan
and Kareena Kapoor, have unveiled the trailer. Helmed by Advait Chandan, the
film is a Hindi adaptation of the hit Hollywood film Forrest Gump. The trailer
was released during the first innings of the IPL 2022 finale. In the trailer,
Aamir plays the role of a Laal, a specially-abled child, while Mona Singh plays
his mother, who will move mountains to make sure that her son receives normal
treatment from society.
As the trailer continues, the grown-up Laal (Aamir) is shown running without the help of leg braces. He then joins the Indian Army where he becomes friends with Naga Chaitanya's character and serves the country.
The trailer also gives a glimpse of Aamir and Kareena Kapoor's romance, followed by heartbreak. He wants to marry Vimmy (Kareena), but she rejects him, saying, "humara kuch nahi hosakta".
Towards the end of the trailer, Aamir is sporting a full-grown beard and a turban. Just like in Forrest Gump, Tom Hanks says "Mama always said life is like a box of chocolates." Similarly, Laal says, "Maa kehti thi zindagi golgappe ki tarah hoti hai, pet bhale bharjawe, maan nahi bharta."
After
seeing the trailer, we can say that the film will take you on a soulful journey
of challenges, hope and love.
