Authorities Detect Suspected Monkeypox Patient at Dhaka Airport

The authorities at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport detected a suspected Monkeypox patient on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old passenger arrived at Dhaka airport via a flight from Turkish Airlines, reports media.

Confirming the news, Dr Shahriar Sazzad, health officer-in-charge of the Health Center at Dhaka airport, said he has been taken to the airport's health center.

The sample of the passenger has been sent to the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), he Dr Sazzad said.
