Police barred a protest march heading towards the Indian High Commission in Dhaka today at the Shantinagar crossroads around 12:20 pm.

Thousands of protestors marched from the north entrance of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 12:05 pm, led by Islami Andolon Bangladesh, in response to disrespectful remarks made by suspended BJP leaders about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

A few minutes later, the protestors were spotted departing the area.
