Bangladesh Army has been deployed in Sylhet on Friday, to combat the district's worsening flood situation.
Extreme levels of flood danger were announced in Sylhet on Friday. Hundreds of thousands of people have been stranded. Most areas of Sylhet city including Kompaniganj, Gowainghat, Zakiganj, Beanibazar, Kanaighat and Jaintapur have been submerged under water.
