SAU Closed till June 30 due to Worsening Flood Situation

The authority concerned of Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) has postponed all its classes and exams till June 30 as the flood situation in Sylhet is worsening with time, reports BSS.

An emergency notification signed by the university Registrar Mohammad Badrul Islam was issued in this regard on Saturday afternoon.

"The floodwaters inundated the city as well as the campus of SAU... Classes and examinations of all departments of the university have been suspended till June 30, as the students have been suffering due to the accumulation of water in different places of the campus," the statement said.

Earlier, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) was declared closed on Friday and Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College on Saturday due to the ongoing flood crisis.
