Two persons have been killed in separate road accidents in city's Gulistan area.

One of the deceased was identified as Jahangir Matobbar, 36, of Faridpur district, reports media.

Jahangir's nephew Ohidul Islam said his uncle came to Dhaka on Friday with his brother-in-law Shakil for his medical checkup as Shakil will go to Saudi Arabia.

A bus of 'Manzil Paribahan' ran over Jahangir at about 8:30 am on Saturday beside a road of Maulana Bhashani Stadium, leaving him critically injured.

A pedestrian took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the on-duty doctor declared Jahangir dead.

Police seized the bud but its driver managed to flee.

A 30-year-old young man was killed in a road accident while crossing a road in front of Gulistan Hall Market on Friday night.

The identity of the deceased could not be known. The body was kept at the DMCH morgue.
