Kazi Salahuddin has become SAFF president for a consecutive fourth term.

The Bangladesh Football Federation president has been president of the regional game’s governing body since 2009.

SAFF general secretary Anwarul Haque Helal announced Salahuddin as president for another term after the congress of SAFF at a five-star hotel in the capital on Saturday (July 2).

It was already certain that Salahuddin is going to be SAFF president without any competition as nobody submitted a nomination paper from six other nations.

The announcement finally came with the presence of representatives from all member nations.

Since 2009, there have been 22 SAF tournaments under Salahuddin. Six of them were SAFF championships and five women’s championships.
