On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the rush of homebound people and vehicles picks up pace on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway. A 20km long traffic jam started from Bangabandhu Bridge and continued till the Tangail Bypass area, which caused the passengers to suffer.

The traffic jam has been created at midnight on Wednesday (July 6) when two vehicles were crippled in the Analia Bari and Hatia areas of Kalihati upazila.

A female passenger stuck in traffic said, "I have been here for a long time, now I feel sick. I don't know how long I will be stuck in the jam."

Elenga Highway Police Outpost in-charge Md Ataur Rahman said that the traffic jam was caused due to the cripple of vehicles in Hatia and Analia Bari areas on the road. Police are working at different points of the road to keep the traffic normal.
