Minor Girl Dies Of Snakebite in Bogura

A minor girl died of snakebite in Nandigram Upazila of the district Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Sohamoni, 3, daughter of Abdus Sattar of Doupukuria village in the Upazila.

Morshedul Bari, chairman of Bhatra Union Parishad, said the child was playing in the backyard of its house in the morning.

Suddenly, a venomous snake bit the child while playing there, leaving her injured.

She was rushed to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where physicians pronounced her dead, the chairman added.
