Students Block Rail Track after Failing to Get Tickets

Students have occupied the rail tracks at the Airport Station in Dhaka including other passengers who wanted to appear for the Rajshahi University admission test, complaining of not getting tickets, reports media. 

Bangladesh Railway Divisional Transport Officer (Dhaka Division) Khairul Kabir said that the rail line was blocked from 8:55 am on Wednesday (July 20). 

He said, 'Passengers including students are protesting by blocking the railway line at the airport railway station. As a result, the Nilsagar Express train is still stuck. Because of this, no train can go from Dhaka to the whole country except Narayanganj. However, trains are returning to Dhaka from all over the country.'

Dhaka Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mazharul Haque said, 'Passengers have been protesting at the airport railway station since this morning. It is disrupting train movement.

However, a team of Police on the way, he said.
