Shohoz Fined Tk 2 Lakh following Rony's Complaint

The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) has fined Tk 2 lakh to shohoz.com after finding proof of the complaint of Mohiuddin Rony, a Dhaka University student, who has been protesting against the mismanagement of railways.

The hearing was held at DNCRP office in the capital on Wednesday at 11 o'clock.

DNCRP Director General AHM Safikuzzaman said, in view of Mohiuddin Rony's complaint, the negligence of shohoz.com has been proved. Because of this, shohoza.com has been fined Tk 2 lakh. He also said that Mohiuddin Rony will get 25 percent (Tk 50,000) of the entire fine. Mohiuddin Rony expressed satisfaction with this verdict.

Dhaka University student Mohiuddin Rony, who stayed at Kamalapur railway station for 12 days in protest of railway mismanagement, has been asked by the High Court to inquire.

Rony, the Theater and Performance Studies Department student of DU, had been protesting for last 13 days at Dhaka's Kamalapur Railway Station, demanding an end to irregularities and mismanagement at Bangladesh Railway.
