Police has assigned the new Superintendents of Police (SPs) in 40 districts of
the country. This is the first time in the history of Bangladesh Police that
new SPs have been appointed in 40 districts at once.
They
were given this responsibility in a notification of the Ministry of Home
Affairs on Wednesday (August 3). Previous SPs of these districts have been sent
to new posts.
Those
40 districts are Pabna, Chattogram, Narayanganj, Sylhet, Mymensingh,
Shariatpur, Sunamganj, Laxmipur, Jhenaidah, Narail, Chuadanga, Sirajganj,
Satkhira, Dinajpur, Rangamati, Lalmonirhat, Naogaon, Cox's Bazar, Netrakona,
Barishal, Cumilla, Gazipur, Patuakhali, Munshiganj, Sherpur, Joypurhat, Feni,
Dhaka, Bandarban, Bargula, Faridpur, Khagrachari, Kishoreganj, Madaripur,
Kurigram, Panchagarh, Magura, Jhalkathi, Nilphamari, Natore.
This
order of SPs was signed on behalf of the President by Dhananjay Kumar Das, the Deputy
Secretary of Home Affairs Ministry. The order is directed to be effective
immediately.
