47 Held in Anti-Drug Drives in City

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in anti-drug drives detained 47 people along with drugs from different areas of the city in last 24 hours as of 6:00am on Monday, reports media.   

During the drives, 11,000 Yaba tablets, 10.573 kilograms of hemp and 25 grams and 30 puria ( small packet) of heroin  were recovered from their possessions, DMP Media and Public Relations deputy commisioner Md Faruq Hossain said.

A total of 39 cases were filed with the police stations concerned under the Narcotics Control Act.
