Chairman
of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) ABM Azad (NDC) said that the country
has 30 days of diesel in stock. Besides, there are 18 days of octane and petrol
in stock.
He
said this at a press conference at the BPC office in the capital's Caravan Bazaar
on Wednesday (August 10) afternoon.
BPC
chairman said, almost all fixed deposits have to be broken to meet import
expenses. At the time, he also said that even after increasing the price, every
liter of diesel has to be counted as a loss of 6 taka.
Incidentally,
last Friday, the price of all types of fuel oil was increased in the country's
market. The price of diesel and kerosene is fixed at Tk 114 per liter.
And
octane is fixed at 135 per liter and petrol at Tk 130. The new prices are
effective from 12 midnight on Friday.
