Professor Nurul Alam Made the New VC of JU

Retired Professor Nurul Alam of the Physics Department took charge as the 19th Vice-Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University (JU).

This information was revealed in a notification signed by Mahmudul Alam, Under-Secretary of the University Branch of the Ministry of Education, on the instructions of Acharya President Abdul Hamid.

According to the notification, according to section 11 (1) of the Jahangirnagar University Act 1973, the President and the Chancellor of the University have appointed Dr. Nurul Alam, a retired professor of the Department of Physics, as the Vice-Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University for the next four years.

In an immediate response, Vice-Chancellor Professor Nurul Alam said, "First of all, I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the President and Chancellor of this University Md. Abdul Hamid and the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. I wish everyone's cooperation to make the university world-class in education and research.
