Ekushey Padak Winning Veteran Actor Masum Aziz No More

Ekushey award-winning veteran actor and dramatist Masum Aziz is no more (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un).

Today, Monday (October 17), his son, actor Utsho Jaman, confirmed the death to the media around 3:30 p.m.

Masum Aziz was taken to Square Hospital after falling ill last Thursday (October 13). He was shifted to ICU when his condition worsened.

Apart from cancer, Masum Aziz was suffering from heart disease. In 2017, he was diagnosed with four blocks in his heart and underwent surgery.

While studying at Chittagong University, Masum Aziz made his acting debut through theater work. Then in 1985 he acted in his first TV drama. He acted in more than four hundred dramas in his long career.
