44th BCS: Written Exam Begins on December 29

The 44th BCS written exam will be held from December 29 to January 11. The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has informed this information in a press release on Thursday (October 20).

Online application for 44th BCS starts on 30th December 2021. A total of 3 lakh 50 thousand 716 candidates applied for the 44th BCS examination till January 31. Later, PSC extended the application period to March 2. The application period is extended by about a month due to the final examination at the National University.

PSC records by publishing the result within 25 days of preliminary examination on 27 May 2022. 15 thousand 708 candidates passed the preliminary examination.

According to the notification of PSC, 1 thousand 710 officers will be taken in different cadres in this BCS. Out of this, 250 people are in Administration Cadre, 50 in Police Cadre, 10 in Foreign Affairs Cadre, 14 in Ansar Cadre, 30 in Audit and Accounts, 11 in Tax Cadre, 8 in Cooperatives, 7 in Railway Transport and Commercial, 10 in Information, 23 in Postal, 6 in Commerce, 27 in Family Planning, 3 in food, 485 in technical cadre and 776 in education cadre.

It has also been said that detailed information on the written examination, examination hall, seating arrangements, and all the instructions related to the examination will be published on the media and the Commission's website (www.bpsc.gov.bd) in due course.
