Four Drug Peddlers Held with 56-Kg Ganja in Rajshahi

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four alleged drug peddlers from a place of the district here this noon and recovered 56 kilograms (KGs) of cannabis (Ganja) from their possessions.

The arrested persons were identified as Mehedi Hassan, 40, Rabiul Haque, 34, Belal Hossain, 26, and Zakir Hossain.

On a tip-off, a team of RAB conducted a raid at Kharkhari Bazar area under Matiher Police Station around 1:30 pm and arrested them with the hemp after searching a truck, RAB sources said.

The arrestees with the seized contraband goods along with the truck were handed over to police.

A case was filed with Matiher police station in this connection.
