Bangladesh is batting first in their first match of the T20 World Cup 2022 against the Netherlands in Hobert.

The Netherlands have won the toss and opted to bowl first in an overcast condition in the venue, reports UNB.

The forecast still shows a lot of rain in Hobert. But during the toss, it was good weather according to reports. There was no rain with 15 minutes to go before the match.

Bangladesh opted for Soumya Sarkar and Najmul Hossain Shanto as the openers. They preferred Mosaddek Hossain over Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Along with Shakib, Mosaddek will be Bangladesh’s second spinner. The Tigers fielded three seamers — Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud and Mustafizur Rahman.

Bangladesh have never played a T20 match in Australia before this one. While Bangladesh will look to have their first win today, the Netherlands will surely pose a strong challenge to continue their good run that started well in the first round.
