Drug Peddler Held with Yaba Tablets in C'nawabganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in an anti-drugs drive detained an alleged drug peddler with 970 pieces of contraband Yaba tablet from Shibganj Upazila in the district last night, reports BSS.

The detainee was identified as Md Bodor Ali alias Bodiur, 53, of Uzirpur village under Shibganj Upazila of the district.

RAB said, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp, on detective information, conducted a raid in Ranihati Hall More area under Shibganj Upazila of the district at around 11 pm and held him with the yaba tablets.

The elite force handed him over to the Shibganj police station and recorded a case against him in this connection, the sources added.
