Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak said, foreign interference in our country's elections will not be allowed. Bangladesh is an independent and sovereign state. This country achieved independence through a bloody war. The self-esteem of the country will not be compromised in any way.

The minister said this while addressing reporters at a program in Mujibnagar Amrakanan in Meherpur on Wednesday (November 16).

He said that it is clearly mentioned in Article 126 of the Constitution - Election Commission will conduct the election of the country. And they will be assisted by the Deputy Commissioner and Police Department. Following their cooperation, there will be a fair and free election in the country.

Abdur Razzaque also ruled out the speculations about a possible famine saying there is no scope to encounter a famine as an overwhelming quantity of food grains are being produced locally.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain, Mohammad Shahiduzzaman Khokon, the MP from Meherpur-2 constituency and others attended the program.
