BNP to Hold Countrywide Mass Processions Today

The opposition BNP will hold mass processions at the district and metropolitan levels across the country today (Saturday), the first program to realize the 10-point demand announced on December 10 from Dhaka divisional rally.

However, BNP will hold its mass rally in Dhaka on December 30.

BNP deferred its mass procession program in Dhaka from 24 December to 30 December after Awami League secretary general Obaidul Quader requested the party to reschedule the program, as AL will hold its central council on 24 December.

The party, however, will bring out a mass rally outside Dhaka city. 

BNP will hold mass processions across the country pressing for its 10-point charter unveiled in its Dhaka divisional mass rally on 10 December.

Syed Imran Saleh Prince, BNP's acting office secretary, said in a press conference organized in Nayapaltan on Friday that the senior leaders of BNP will participate in Saturday's mass procession.

Dr Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain will attend procession in Chittagong, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy in Rajshahi, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan in Khulna, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury in Barisal, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku in Mymensingh.

Besides, the central leaders of the party will participate in the processions of different districts.
