5 Rohingya Children Abducted in Teknaf

Miscreants have allegedly abducted five Rohingya children from a park in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar.

The victims’ families alleged that the miscreants asked for Tk 20 lakh as ransom for each child over mobile phone on Tuesday.

Md Ekram, chairman of the Nayapara Registered Rohingya Camp Management Committee, confirmed the news.

The victims are Md Belal, Nur Kamal, Nur Arafat, Osman and Nur Kamal.

According to sources, miscreants abducted the children while they were playing at Jadimudar’s Natural Park on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday noon. 

Miscreants abducted about 58 people in Teknaf in last seven months.
