Fire at Ctg Tire Godown under Control

The fire that broke out at Dewanhat slum area and a warehouse of tire in Chattogram city this afternoon has been brought under control.

A total of 12 fire units brought the blaze under control after three hours of frantic effort.

Fire service deputy assistant director Md Abdul Hamid Mia confirmed the matter.

Due to the fire, train communication between Dhaka and Chattogram got disrupted. However, the train service resumed after two hours when the blaze was brought under control.

The estimated loss and reason behind the fire incident could not be known immediately.
