Primary Schools to Remain Closed Sine Die in 3 Divisions

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has ordered the closure of all primary schools for an indefinite period from Sunday in Chattogram, Khulna, and Barishal divisions due to approaching very severe cyclonic storm 'Mocha', reports BSS.

"Primary schools, education centres of Bureau of Non-Formal Education and learning centres of Shishu Kallyan Trust (Child Welfare Trust) in Chattogram, Khulna, and Barishal divisions will remain closed due to the incoming storm 'Mocha' until the further notice," said a statement signed by Senior Information Officer of the ministry Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin.

The decision regarding the opening of primary schools will be taken considering the situation in the affected areas, it said.
