6th Ship Carrying Coal for Payra Power Plant Arrives at Port

On Sunday afternoon, the MV America Graeca Mother Vessel, the sixth ship carrying 28,000 metric tons of coal from Indonesia, arrived at Payra port in Patuakhali.

Azizur Rahman, the deputy head of the Payra Port Traffic Department, confirmed the incident.

He said that the ship had brought 28,000 metric tons of coal for the Payra thermal power plant to the port of Payra. On Sunday afternoon, the ship—which had departed from Balikpanan port in Indonesia a week earlier—arrived at Payra port.

Five other ships had earlier docked at Patuakhali's Payra port for the Payra thermal power plant.

The six ships have delivered 3,04,133 metric tons of coal to the power plant thus far.
