Mild Heatwave Sweeps over Parts of Bangladesh

A mild heat wave is now affecting the districts of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Panchagarh, Moulvibazar, and Feni, and it may persist, confirmed Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

This prediction was provided by the BMD for the next twenty-four hours starting from 9:00 on Sunday.

Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Khulna, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country, said the release.

In many parts of the nation, the temperature may not fluctuate much from day to night.

The monsoon trough's axis passes across Bangladesh's southern region and into Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, and Assam. Over Bangladesh and North Bay, the monsoon is mild.

Rajshahi, Bangladesh, reported the nation's highest temperature on Saturday of 36.8 degrees Celsius, while Sylhet, Bangladesh, had the lowest temperature today of 25.2 degrees Celsius.

Maximum rainfall for the past twenty-four hours up to six this morning was 42 millimeters nationwide.
