Left Leaders in AL-Led Alliance on State Visit to China

Leading members of the Awami League-led alliance's left-leaning political parties departed Bangladesh on Monday for China.

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal president Hasanul Haque Inu, Workers Party president Rashed Khan Menon, Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal general secretary Dilip Barua, Fazle Hossain Badshah and Lutfun Nessa Khan are among the delegation.

On Monday afternoon, a China Southern Airlines jet flew the group to China. The leaders were greeted at the airport by representatives of the Chinese embassy.

Hasanul Haque Inu was escorted to China by the vice president of the Kushtia district committee, Ahmed Ali, and the JSD central committee's organizing secretary, Abdul Alam Swapan.

The Chinese ambassador hosted a dinner in honour of the visiting leaders on Sunday evening.
