Train Engine Breaks Down in Gazipur

Dewanganj commuter train's engine malfunctioned this morning at the outside signal of Sreepur Railway Station in the Gazipur district, leaving passengers stranded. The train was headed towards Jamalpur.

The train was due to depart Sreepur station at 7:30 am towards Jamalpur's Dewanganj, according to station master Saidur Rahman.

The train's engine malfunctioned as it approached the outside signal at Sreepur Station about 6:45 am.

The Bhawal Express train engine later assisted in moving the train to Sreepur Station, according to the station master.

Around 9 am, he noted, train traffic resumed normally following engine maintenance.
