8.5 Metres Long Ship Arrives at Mongla Port

A Singapore-flagged, 8.5-meter-long container ship, the MV Maersk Nusantara, has docked at Mongla Port's Jetty No. 9 in Bagerhat.

According to a news statement issued on Thursday, Captain Md Asaduzzaman, member (harbour and marine) of the Mongla Port Authority, stated an 8.5 meters draft container ship made its debut appearance at the Mongla Port jetty on July 5.

At a view-exchange gathering of the Mongla Port Authority with shipping brokers, the Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry, readymade garment exporters, jute and jute goods exporters, frozen fish exporters, and other port users, he announced the arrival of the container ship.

Business people are interested in using the Mongla Port because to its quick ship handling, appropriate yards and sheds, container staffing facilities, lack of cut-off laws, suitable equipment facilities, safety, and shortening the distance to Dhaka, which saves time and money, according to the statement.
