To 10 million people, the state-owned Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will begin selling necessities without sugar on Sunday.

According to a press announcement from TCB on Saturday, sugar will not be part of the August sales campaign.

The sale of edible oil and pulses at reduced costs is being carried out under the Ministry of Commerce's supervision among the 10 million low-income beneficiary cardholder families.

Every month, cardholder families will receive 5kg of rice at a cost of Tk30 per kg.

Buyers can also purchase two liters of soybean oil at Tk100 per liter and lentils at Tk60 per kg.

Cardholders will be able to take rice and other products from the shops or designated places of distributors in their respective areas.
