According to RMP's assistant commissioner (crime and discipline section), Vijay Basak, Khairul Islam's Facebook post was the subject of an inquiry.

He said, "As he was found guilty, he was moved to Bandarban on Thursday as per the direction of the police headquarters.

Sayedee passed away on Monday night while receiving treatment. She had been given a life sentence for crimes against humanity committed during the Liberation War.

Inspector Khairul Islam shared his condolences upon Sayeedi's passing on his own Facebook page.

RMP Commissioner Vijay Biplab Talukder directed the cyber crime section to look into the situation after learning about his Facebook post.
