The pre-announced student demonstration of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student arm of the ruling Bangladesh Awami League (AL), will take place on September 1 (Friday) rather than August 31.
According to a statement published in a notification signed by the BCL president Saddam Hossain and the general secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan, the decision was made to facilitate the HSC examinees' easy travel and prevent public hardship.
The ancient Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital will host the BCL major rally at three o'clock.
The notification states that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh would attend the gathering as the primary guest.
