Child’s Body Recovered from Drain after 17 hours in Chattogram

After being gone for 1.5 hours after sliding into a drain in Chattogram's Agrabad neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, a 1-and-a-half-year-old kid was found after 17 hours in a drain in Halishahar Rangipara.

According to Abdur Razzak, deputy assistant director of Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defense, the corpse was found on Monday at 9 a.m.

He said that the body of the little boy who had fallen into the sewer next to his home had been discovered there. The family has received their body back.

On Sunday afternoon, the child fell into a drain in the KM Hashim Tower vicinity, resulting in the child's disappearance.

Fire service personnel promptly arrived at the scene and initiated the rescue operation after receiving the information around 5:30pm.
