´╗┐Imran Ahmed Bhuiyan, who was dismissed from the post of Deputy Attorney General on September 7, said that he and his family are taking refuge in the US Embassy in Dhaka.

Imran Ahmad Bhuiyan said this Friday (September 8) afternoon that he is feeling insecure. So he took his family to the American Embassy for asylum.

Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Imran Ahmad Bhuiyan has been relieved of his post by notification. A circular was issued in this regard on Thursday night (September 7) from the Law and Justice Department of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. The notification informed that this exemption has been given as per the order of the President.

Imran Ahmed came to the discussion with a statement regarding Nobel Peace Prize winning economist Dr. Muhammad Yunus. Law Minister Anisul Haque announced the dismissal of Imran Ahmed on Friday morning.

The notice issued by the Solicitor Division of the Department of Law and Justice said, "According to Article 4 (1) of The Bangladesh Law Officers Order, 1972, the appointment order of Deputy Attorney General Imran Ahmad Bhuiyan has been canceled and he has been relieved from the post of Deputy Attorney General in the public interest."

More than one and a half hundred leading people in different fields around the world sent an open letter (statement) to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recently, expressing concern about the violation of labor law and corruption cases against Dr. Yunus. There are more than a hundred Nobel laureates among them. Deputy Attorney General Imran spoke to reporters in front of the extended building of the High Court on Monday. He said, 'I think Dr. Yunus is an honorable person. He is being defamed and it is judicial harassment.'

Against that open letter of more than 100 Nobel laureates, the Attorney General's office is supposed to make a protest statement - Imran Ahmed claimed that everyone working in the Attorney General's office has been notified to sign it. But he has decided not to sign this statement.

After a program at the National Press Club on Tuesday, the Law Minister told reporters that he (Imran Ahmad Bhuiyan) is a DAG (Deputy Attorney General) of the Attorney General's Office. If he speaks to the press, he should either resign or speak with the Attorney General's permission. He didn't do that.

On that day, Attorney General AM Amin Uddin told reporters that no instructions have been given by the Attorney General's Office to issue a statement against Dr. Yunus. Deputy Attorney General Imran Ahmad Bhuiyan said this to please any other party.
